The China-Singapore Business Dialogue, jointly organized by SIP Office for Adapting Experience of Singapore and Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham), was held in SIP on Oct 28. Aimed at bridging industry-academia-research collaboration and fostering synergistic development in intelligent manufacturing, the event attracted representatives from government agencies, renowned enterprises and research institutions of both nations.

During the event, the representative from Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) gave the participants a detailed account of the development of embodied AI, robotics and Industry 4.0 in Singapore from the perspectives of national strategies, application scenarios, research focuses and practical case studies.
The executives from Bosch and other companies shared explorations and innovative practices in AI application in manufacturing.
The representative from SIP Economic Development Committee gave the participants an introduction to the committee’s initiatives aimed at driving integration of AI technology and manufacturing.

During the free talk session, the participants from enterprises and the industrial experts delved into in-depth discussions on AI development trends and its role in manufacturing.

It is worth mentioning that the event was opened to university students.
“The insights shared here are immensely instructive for students like me,” a student from the NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute said.
